Asset Management Introductory Course

The Asset Management Introductory Course consists of 3 eLearning modules and is an ideal companion to the learning Surveyor courses.

This course provides a great foundation in understanding the basic concepts, language and significant benefits organisations gain from an Asset Management (AM) approach.
It also introduces the content and role of the International Standards for AM (ISO 55000).
The course enables learners to see how AM involves everyone in the organisation and how their role may be directly or indirectly impacted.

At the end of the course, learners will understand:

• What asset management is, the basic concepts, principles and terminology.
• The scope of asset management, key benefits and value to different stakeholders.
• The emergence of AM as a global standard, the context and background of the ISO 55000 series.
• Characteristics of good AM, commonly used techniques and benefits of an AM approach.
• Common misunderstandings, how to address them and how to aid implementation.

The content highlights the principles, processes and benefits of good asset management, including the need for an asset management system, its main components and how they are applied.

There is a 1-month access period for this course. Learners receive 3 CPD credits.
